What is After AI Work?
A platform where people who have AI-generated work post it and vetted human experts in the relevant craft finish it. The requester defines done and pays on approval; the expert does the work and is paid when it is approved; the platform holds the money and keeps the record of what AI made and what the person changed. "After AI Work" is also our name for that category of work.
Is After AI Work an AI tool?
No. There is no model inside producing output. You bring what you generated with whatever tools you use, and a person finishes it here. Keeping generation outside is deliberate: it keeps us neutral about your tools and keeps the work honest about who did what.
Is this a freelance marketplace?
It is two-sided, but it is not a general freelance board. Every job starts from an existing AI output and a definition of done, experts are vetted per craft rather than open to anyone, there is no bid-down auction, and every job produces a record showing the AI source and the human delta. Those differences are the point.
Does it replace human work?
The opposite. It pays people for exactly the part AI cannot do reliably: judgement, craft and accountability. Where AI can genuinely finish something, fine; this is for the cases where a person is responsible for the result and wants a person to finish it.
For requesters
What can I post?
Anything AI started that needs skilled finishing: a logo or visual concept, code or a prototype, generated screens, a draft or article, text to humanize, a song or audio, video clips, a deck or plan. You need the right to use the output you post. See what gets done.
How much does it cost me?
Posting is free. You pay the expert's price: a budget you set, or a quote you accept. The amount is held when you post and released when you approve. There is no separate platform fee for requesters. See pricing.
How do I know the expert is good?
Every expert passed a portfolio review by a peer in the same craft, a paid trial job against a real definition of done, and an identity check. Their record is public: jobs finished, first-round approval rate, and before-and-after examples they have permission to show. You choose from the experts who respond.
What if the work is not what I asked for?
You review against the definition of done you agreed. One revision round is included. If you and the expert still disagree, open a dispute: a reviewer in that craft reads the record and decides whether to release, partly release or refund. Funds stay held until then. See trust and quality.
Who owns the result?
You do, on approval and payment, along with the full job record. The expert may show a before-and-after of the work publicly only with your permission.
Can my team or agency use it?
Yes. A team account adds shared posting, preferred experts, client reviewers on a job, templates and one invoice, at no extra platform charge during early access. See for teams.
For experts
Who can join as an expert?
People who finish work for a living and are comfortable starting from AI output: brand and graphic designers, developers, product and UX designers, editors and writers, producers and mix engineers, video and motion editors. Other crafts open as demand appears. See for experts.
How does vetting work?
Apply with your craft and portfolio. An existing expert in the same craft reviews it for finishing skill. You do a paid trial job against a real definition of done. You verify your identity. Then you see funded jobs in your craft. It takes a few days and is meant to be selective.
What does it cost me and how am I paid?
Joining, browsing and quoting are free. A 4% service fee is deducted from each paid job, shown before you accept. Funds release when the requester approves and pay out to your bank on the regular schedule. Payout availability depends on your country; the app shows what applies to you before you take a job.
What stops a requester from asking for endless changes?
The definition of done. One revision round within it is included. Anything outside it is new scope, which you price and they fund before you do it. If they refuse to approve work that meets the definition, a peer reviewer decides on the record.
Can I show the work I did here?
Your approval rate, revision rate and jobs finished are public by default. Specific before-and-afters appear on your record only with the requester's permission, which you can request at Ship.

Do you use AI to write this website?
We use AI the way the platform is built for: for first drafts and structure, followed by human rewriting, verification and approval. Each guide says how it was made. We think that is the honest way to publish in this category.
